The weekend of the 11/12th May was a busy one for Fawkham & District Riding Club. We had our Janine Lamy cross country clinic at East Byshee. Although we were down on entries we still had enough people to run the clinic. All four riders we not members but thoroughly enjoyed themselves and learned a lot from Janine. Hopefully they have taken away some tips that they can use in the future. Our secretary Lucy did the moonwalk for charity in London on Saturday night. Well done to Lucy and hope she has recovered from the 26.2 mile walk. Also on Sunday it was the BRC Area 10 Horse Trial Qualifiers at Chilham Castle in Canterbury, Stacey Ward and Queenie represented the club as an individual entry. This was their first ever horse trial and competition over a 80cm cross country course. They came away exhausted but happy with a score of 43 in dressage, clear in SJ and 2 stops in cross country. We are hoping to get a team together for this next year as it was such an enjoyable day in a beautiful setting. There are some photos below from the weekend.
